Hazel’s Coffee is a Long-Time St. Joseph Staple

Through the many changes since opening its doors in 1995, Hazel’s Coffee has been a staple in St. Joseph, Missouri. That’s more than 25 years of exceptional coffee, food, and merchandise.

What we now know as Hazel’s began as the Felix Street Coffee Company and spent the first 10 years in downtown St. Joseph. The shop moved from there to the corner of Frederick and Woodbine, changing its name to Hazel’s Coffee and Tea Company. In March 2020, after outgrowing its second location, the business moved down the street to a larger location with a drive-thru, where it continues to operate today. In April 2021, a second location named Hazel’s Coffee Bar was opened on North 3rd Street, returning the coffee shop to its downtown roots.

The folks at Hazel’s Coffee roast all their beans in-house in small batches. They serve pastries, baked goods, breakfast all day, and a simple lunch and dinner menu. If coming into the shop isn’t convenient for you, Hazel’s has an online store offering mugs, ground coffee, coffee beans, K-cups, and quarts of flavored coffee mixes ready to pour over ice at home. They have online ordering through their website, pickup, and delivery options, and a coffee truck that visits events around town.
Hours vary by day and location, with extended hours for special events, so visit hazelscoffeeco.com or follow them on Facebook at facebook.com/hazelscoffeeco to place your order and stay updated on their latest news.
