Story Submission
The Regular Joe is looking for stories about local businesses, artists, and authors. Still, we may be interested in others as long as the story focuses on a single topic. The topic can be as simple or complex as you like. Our goal is to add value and insight to Northwest Missouri residents and tourists.
Articles must be well written and edited. Writing is all about revising. Please do not send first drafts. Your submission will be reviewed by the editorial staff, and you will be notified within a few weeks of your submission’s status. If you are writing about local businesses, artists, or authors in Northwest Missouri, you are welcome to submit a pitch before interviewing subjects and drafting the story. Regular Joe editorial staff will reach out if interested and coordinate details.
All articles will be edited for narration, AP, and Regular Joe style. If time permits, drafts will be shared with the author before publishing. If accepted for print, compensation for feature stories will be coordinated before publication. Thanks for reading the Joe, and we wish you luck with all of your literary, business, and artistic adventures!

The Fulfillment House began in 2018 as a passion project for two local business owners as one of their sons with Down Syndrome was navigating the often-difficult transition to life after high school. They saw the potential to take an existing business need and transform it into an enriching employment opportunity for adults with special needs.
