Downtown Saint Joseph has an ever-growing number of small businesses that are making the area a shopping and dining destination again. Neighboring businesses Nesting Goods and Alchemy Tea Co. are two of these must-visit spots.
Nesting Goods specializes in local, handmade, home décor and gifts as well as some antiques. This quaint shop is the perfect place to find a unique gift or a special item to update your own home. They carry jewelry, pottery, wall décor, pillows, candles, soap, kids’ items, stationery, and so much more.
They also partner with Homeplace Fields, a family farm in St. Joseph, to offer farm-fresh flowers. Wrapped bouquets can be ordered online for pickup at the store. Weekly fresh flower bouquet subscriptions are also available during the summer, with pickup available at Nesting Goods on Tuesdays or Saturdays.
After shopping, you can relax right next door at Alchemy Tea Co. The shop serves many varieties of hot, iced , and boba teas, including special, seasonal drink offerings. The retail space inside the shop includes many varieties of tea and tea accessories, as well as body-care items, plants, and other fun objects.

Alchemy Tea Co.’s beautiful space can also be rented for events. The shop features a mix of upholstery, tabletop and bar seating, and can accommodate up to 45 guests. There are options available to rent out the entire space or reserve the seating area while the retail portion of the shop remains open. Dasia is one of our more recent hires at Fulfillment House. She has been part of our team for more than four months now. She enjoys all the tasks here and is always happy to jump in and help wherever needed.
Dasia is very active outside of work and has various interests. She enjoys playing video games and sketching on her iPad, especially anime. She is quite a talented artist! Dasia also loves animals and spends a lot of time with them. She helps take care of her many pets at home, including four dogs, four cats, four chickens, and two snakes. This is also her second year riding horses at Northland Therapeutic Riding Center, which she says is really fun!

The Fulfillment House began in 2018 as a passion project for two local business owners as one of their sons with Down Syndrome was navigating the often-difficult transition to life after high school. They saw the potential to take an existing business need and transform it into an enriching employment opportunity for adults with special needs.
