Kearney

52nd Jesse James Festival

September 8 and 9 and 15 through 17, 2023
Held over two weekends in September, the festival features a variety of activities for all ages. Prices vary, but many events are free. Some popular events include a parade, BBQ cookoff, dance, carnival, and a youth fishing tournament. Check out the schedule at www.jessejamesfestival.com.

St. Joseph

Chiefs Training Camp

July 23 through August 17
Our reigning Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs are holding Training Camp at Missouri Western State University again this summer. Most practices are free and open to the public, but tickets must be reserved online. Smithville

Smithville Community Festi-ville

August 19
Festi-Ville is a free annual community event that aims to bring people together for a day of fun, food, and festivities. This event is held in Downtown Smithville with many vendors and bands, including Chris Cagle, Dolewite, and Hudson Drive.

Platte City

Platte County Fair

July 19 through 22
The Platte County Fair has been held in Platte City, Mo. since 1863. The fair boasts a variety of contests and entertainment for guests of all ages. Nodaway County Fair

July 13 through 15
This Northwest Missouri fair has something for everyone! The fair includes a baby contest, checkers tournament, kids barbecue competition, ice cream social, pancake breakfast, parade, pedal pull, carnival and more. Visit their website at www.nodcofair.org.

Dasia is one of our more recent hires at Fulfillment House. She has been part of our team for more than four months now. She enjoys all the tasks here and is always happy to jump in and help wherever needed.
Dasia is very active outside of work and has various interests. She enjoys playing video games and sketching on her iPad, especially anime. She is quite a talented artist! Dasia also loves animals and spends a lot of time with them. She helps take care of her many pets at home, including four dogs, four cats, four chickens, and two snakes. This is also her second year riding horses at Northland Therapeutic Riding Center, which she says is really fun!
