7th Annual Witches Tea

Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art
October 23
Join the Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art for the 7th annual AKMA Witches Tea! Since 2016, the museum has hosted Witches Tea, an annual event celebrating the Halloween season. The lunch seating will be served at noon for $40 and dinner at 6:30 p.m. for $50. Attendees are invited to come in costume, and there will be a costume contest.


Wine Walk
Downtown St. Joseph
November 4 from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
ReDiscover Downtown St Joseph during this fun wine walk! Over 30 locations are participating with discounts, sales, specials, snacks, and, of course, wine samples! The ticket price allows samples at any participating location and includes a wine taster glass. Must be 21+ to participate in samples. Pick your starting location and time, and come see all downtown St. Joseph has to offer! Shuttle bus service will run between the Frederick Corridor and downtown throughout the event.

Plattsburg

Fall Festival
Downtown Plattsburg
October 14 from 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Who doesn’t love some small-town fun? There will be a carnival, large vendor fair, parade, live music, beer garden, axe throwing, petting zoo, laser tag, and so much more! Breakfast starts at 8 a.m., and the beer garden and live music don’t end until 8 p.m., so be prepared for a full day of FUN!

Smithville

Candy Land Christmas
December 2 from 1-5:30 p.m.
Join Smithville as the town celebrates the holiday season on Saturday, December 2 for a Candy Land Christmas in Downtown Smithville. Stop by to see Santa, then grab a goody bag and Candy Land map of local business goody stops. After you’re finished exploring and shopping, stay for the lighted Christmas parade at 6 p.m. and the lighting of the Mayor’s Christmas Tree.
Sip N’ Shop at White Iron Ridge
December 7 from 5:30-8:30 p.m.
Browse a wide variety of goodies from local vendors while sipping your favorite drink at White Iron Ridge in Smithville. While you are there, explore this beautiful, upscale event venue that might be the perfect location for your next special event.

Excelsior Springs

Annual Lighted Christmas Parade
November 18 at 6 p.m.
Join the city of Excelsior Springs for the annual lighted Christmas parade. The parade starts after the Mayor’s Christmas Tree and Rooftop Lighting Ceremony. Find a spot along Broadway or Thompson and enjoy the show! Afterward, be sure to take a drive along Lover’s Lane and visit the Lane of Lights. A $5 donation is recommended, and a different non-profit organization hosts the lane each night.

Dasia is one of our more recent hires at Fulfillment House. She has been part of our team for more than four months now. She enjoys all the tasks here and is always happy to jump in and help wherever needed.
Dasia is very active outside of work and has various interests. She enjoys playing video games and sketching on her iPad, especially anime. She is quite a talented artist! Dasia also loves animals and spends a lot of time with them. She helps take care of her many pets at home, including four dogs, four cats, four chickens, and two snakes. This is also her second year riding horses at Northland Therapeutic Riding Center, which she says is really fun!
