Willow Springs Mercantile Keeps it Local in Excelsior Springs
Willow Springs Mercantile is located in historic downtown Excelsior Springs, Missouri. Established in 2005, according to the store’s website, they carry the state’s largest selection of Missouri wines, craft beers, and distilled spirits, plus they have a small bistro that offers lunch. Lunch is proudly served with fresh and local ingredients, and they cater to special dietary needs and gluten-free requests. Most of their sandwiches can be served on a gluten-free wrap or bread, in a lettuce wrap, or on a bed of greens, and meats and cheeses can easily be removed. They also have a daily soup and special.
A gift shop on the main floor includes Missouri wines, distilled spirits and craft beers, gourmet chocolates, hand-crafted soaps, gemstone and sterling silver jewelry, photography and artwork, gourmet foods, fresh roasted coffee and beans, loose-leaf teas, gift baskets, and more. They currently have over 300 Missouri wines on their shelves, and if they don’t carry what you are looking for, they’ll try to get it.
If you need a unique, private space for your event, the Mercantile offers that, too. They have a special catering menu and space for groups ranging from 20 to 50. Additionally, they are open for dinner once a month. They work with a local winery to serve four-course dinners perfectly paired with local wines.
Stop by for lunch Tuesday through Sunday, or book your next wine dinner or special event to see what makes this business so unique. You can find them online at shopthemercantile.com.

The Fulfillment House began in 2018 as a passion project for two local business owners as one of their sons with Down Syndrome was navigating the often-difficult transition to life after high school. They saw the potential to take an existing business need and transform it into an enriching employment opportunity for adults with special needs.
